FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!
We have been working with schools for 5 years and have designed our program of events around the national curriculum. Our school activity events are designed for children aged 4 – 11 years. Each sessions lasts for 2-3 hours and our best events are on a residential basis, spending 2 or 3 days navigating a specific area with morning and afternoon sessions which focus on a range of activities.
We have excellent relationships with various venues and also wild camping opportunities in the Peak District National park. In order to run the sessions we require 8 teachers per 40 children. As each event can be very different we encourage you to contact us to discuss your requirements and we can provide a price. We need name, address and emergency contact details for each child, risk assessment and H&S documents completed before the event commences.
First we conduct a team talk, covering safety and what to expect during the coming days. Answering any questions and how best to react in emergencies.
Arriving at base camp, we complete a kit check, what to take and leave and plan our journey. Some orienteering and night navigation.
Boot camp style exercises, assault course, Tyrolean river crossing, shelter building.
Including abseiling, exploring ancient ravines, abseiling and rounding off with a barbecue and toasted marshmallows.
